Bhrigu (4240mts.) is a prominent lake of kullu region, located right of Rohtang pass. Legend holds that Bhrigu Rishi meditated here and many local gods of the kullu region take a dip in its sacred water, most prominent among them is Guru vashisht, who travel to the lake at least once in two or three years cycle. A natured forest of Fir, oak and higher altitude white Oak surrounds Gulaba from where trek starts. Steep ups and downs can make you a bit tired but are equally rewarding because of its breathtaking views.

1st Day: Manali – Gulaba 20 kms – Trek to Bhrigu Lake (10 kms)

Travel by car from Manali to Gulaba. From Gulaba start a gradual ascend leading to a beautiful holy glaciered lake at Bhrigu (8 kms). Overnight in tents.

2nd Day: Bhrigu Lake – Vashisht Village – Manali (12 kms)

Start the trek back to Manali over the alpine plateau with beautiful alpine flowers during season. Later a steep descend to Vashisht village. From here take a three-wheel auto rickshaw to Manali or walk down to Manali. The trek ends in Manali.
